Jessica is a strong believer in a holistic approach to training for any athlete at every level of experience. Both as a way to prevent injury, and improve posture & technique.
As a dancer Jessica has had her share of injuries over the years ranging from chronic to traumatic. She started experimenting with different methods of cross training and body work when she was in high school. But, with almost no information available for dancers at the time, it took until her mid-twenties to find methods that worked. Over the years she has discovered a certain combination of methods provides her with the means to keep herself injury free and keep her body functioning at peek capacity. 
To share what she learned with her students and give them access to better options, Jessica became certified in the GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® methods and
 Classical Pilates.​

GYROTONIC​® Method
Available in-person at Jessica's studio only.
Duets not available.

​The Gyrotonic method is an original and unique movement method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength. Gyrotonic exercise sequences are composed of spiraling, circular movements which flow together seamlessly in rhythmic repetitions with corresponding breath patterns. Each movement flows into the next allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility.
This method is practiced on specialized equipment to support the body during movement. The equipment can be adapted to the ideal setting for each person’s unique physique. Adapting for things such as height, arm and leg length, natural range of motion and physical ability.  
GYROKINESIS​® Method
The Gyrokinesis Method is the sister method to the Gyrotonic method that addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method which coordinates movement, breath and mental focus.​
This method is practiced on stools and either Gyrokinesis mats or yoga mats. Which makes it ideal for group fitness classes or to be experienced in a workshop/master class. However, this method can also be experienced in a private setting to address the individuals needs more readily.  
Stools are provided for all in-person classes & sessions.
Students will provide their own yoga mats for group classes.
Classical Mat Pilates 
​Classical Pilates is an exercise method developed by Joseph Pilates nearly a century ago. The practice is a system of exercises designed to improve physical strength, flexibility and posture and enhance mental awareness. Classical Mat Pilates focuses on a systematic approach to conditioning the body. It is a safe and corrective form of movement focusing on a series of mat exercises. The work emphasizes both precision and flow exercises with the equipment working both control and stamina. During your practice, you will learn the six principles of Pilates: Concentration, Control, Centering, Breath, Precision and Flow.

In-person sessions can be held at the following locations.  
  • Jessica's studio in Midtown Palo Alto, CA
  • In your home (travel fees apply)​
About Jessica's studio
Jessica's studio is located in her home and includes a full Gyrotonic Tower with a ballet barre attachment, Wingmaster, and a wall to wall sprung Marley floor.
Yoga mats, stools, & other props are also available to help accommadate any & all body types. 

Please note that Jessica & her husband are "pet parents" & have two cats. They are both very friendly & will wonder in from time to time.
